Manga Background from Photos

!!! UPDATE !!! - The action now should run smoothly with any language PS!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drawing manga background is not fun at all for me, i'm too lazy (lol), so i tried to make a photoshop action to automatize a bit the process.

I still guess hand-made backgrounds are a LOT better, but i hope you will enjoy anyway my work :P

How to use:
- import the action in photoshop
- select the layer you want to convert and run the action

You will come up with three new layers:

 - Lines    Set lines opacity
 - Pattern    Set dot pattern opacity
 - Base

TIPS:
Obviously, results are better with higher resolution photos.
Try to smooth the image reducing the noise. If the base photo have much noise, blurring it a bit before running the action may help.
Do not run it twice per-document unless you rename all the layers already created by this action!

Enjoy!

You're free to use this action as you please, but please consider crediting me if you liked it. Thanks!

That's a great thing, really.

Just a bit strange, that sometimes it tells me 'Filters currently not available' but still works and sometimes everythings totally fine ^^

Sadly my results don't look that manga-ish like your example. Think it depends on the photo source. Mine still look quite photographed but I'm going to find out why. Thanks for this anyway!
